Ingredients
  

Beef Steak
  • 2 ribeye steaks 1–1.5 inches thick
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

  • Grill
  • Meat Thermometer

Method
 

  1. Preheat the grill or cast iron skillet over high heat.
  2. Pat the steaks dry and brush them with olive oil.
  3. Season both sides of the steak with salt and black pepper.
  4. Sear the steak for 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare doneness.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, add butter and minced garlic to the pan and baste the steak.
  6. Remove the steak from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For extra flavor, add fresh rosemary or thyme while basting the steak.
