Method
- Cream the softened butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the flour and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Flatten each dough ball slightly with a fork or the back of a spoon.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, until the edges turn light golden brown.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For variations, try adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or a dusting of powdered sugar on top after baking.
